User terms for Work Norway AS recruitment platform
These terms and conditions apply for your use of Work Norway AS’ (“Work Norway” recruitment platform (“Platform”. We advise you to read them carefully before you sign up to the Platform.
Who is Work Norway and what is the Platform?
Work Norway specializes in requiting qualified people for employments in Norwegian companies. Work Norway company customers (hereinafter the “customer” will file recruitment orders for such employments in the Platform. To apply for any applicable employment published in the Platform, you must register your profile with the Platform. If you apply for an employment, the Customer may contact and communicate with you. Your profile will only be visible for Customers with employments you have applied for and is qualified for.
What should the Platform be used for?
You must only use the Platform for the purpose set out in these terms, and in accordance with any applicable laws or regulations. If we find that you do not, we may terminate your account immediately. The data you enter when using the Platform should be accurate and complete. If not, the data will have limited value for Work Norway, our Customers and yourself.
Information of employments provided in the Platform?
The information related to the employments provided in the Platform is based the information provided herein by our Customer who seek to employ qualified workers for their company. E.g. information of the type of professionals that the Customer wish to assign, desired start-up date, and other relevant information. Please note that the data contained in the Platform may not give you an exact or complete overview of the employment. If you have any questions to the employment, we advise you to contact the Customer using the tools of the Platform.
How will the Customers interact with me through the Platform?
Our Customers are requested to review and respond to applications from you within reasonable time, using the tools of the Platform. Work Norway encourage our Customers to reply to any request you may have without undue delay. If you do not receive any reply within the expected time frame, Work Norway advice you to send the Customer a reminder trough the notification functionality in the Portal. How may Work Norway assist in the application process?
We may check all relevant documents and references provided by you. If you request us to, we may also assist you in preparing a general CV/resume for you according to an additional, payable, standard fee. If requested by the Customer, we may also interview you for the employment trough video meetings and provide feedback of the interview to the Customer.
How do we process your personal data

What right do you have to use the Portal?
The Portal is Work Norway property, and all intellectual property rights to Work Norway (copyrights, trademarks, designs, trade secrets, etc.) remain with us and our sub-licensors. Our Customers retain all rights to the descriptions of the positions, the Customer, and any other data of the Customer’ published trough the Portal. You are only grated a limited, non-exclusive, , revokable right to use the Platform and any data contained herein, for the purpose of finding employment in Norway, and as set out in these terms. You must be 18 years to use the Portal.
How much does it cost to use the Portal and how do you pay?
You must pay for your use of the Portal according to our applicable fee schedule. You will find the updated fee schedule [ link to fees]. The fees include VAT (in Norwegian MVA or in Swedish MVA) and other applicable public taxes. You must pay a yearly fee to have your use of the Platform, have access to available employments, and have your CV in the Portal. The fee can be paid by credit card or any other applicable payment method (such as Vipps, Swish, MobilePay or similar). The payment must made before you get access to the available employments and can apply.
Will we sometimes change the fee?
We may change the fees regularly and update our fee schedule. We will notify you of any changes of the fee at the start page of the Platform. The new fees will be applicable within one month. If you don't agree with the new fees, you can at any time stop using the Portal and terminate your account (see below) with effect from the new fee.
You may not withdraw from the Portal
You hereby accept and agree that the Portal is provided to you immediately, and because you do so, you agree that you will not be able to exercise any withdrawal right within the 14 days period from you started using Work Norway. You also and therefore agree and accept, that you will neither obtain any refund for the same 14 days period.
Can I cancel my right to use the Platform?
You may at any time stop using the Platform. Termination of your obligation to pay the fee, requires your written termination with one months’ notice. You may make such a termination trough the your account or by notifying us. The yearly subscription fee runs for a year from the day when you registered and will not stop until the end of the the 12 month cycle. Subscription payment is for a year, so if you cancel your subscription after 2 months - the fee payed will not be refunded - but subscription will not be renewd after the 12 month cycle has ended, yearly from when you subscribed.
What happens if you are hired for an employment?
Both you and the Customer are obligated to provide Work Norway with information of the hire immediately.
What are the terms for the employment?
The terms and conditions for the employment is agreed between you and the Customer directly. Work Norway is not party to any such agreement. Please note that you are entitled to a written employment contract with the Customer in accordance with the requirements under Norwegian law (e.g. working hours, payment, benefits etc.). The customer is also responsible for ensuring that you have a valid work and residence permit, and to report the hire of you to any relevant Norwegian authority. If you need assistance with housing, the Customer shall also assist you. Any questions you should have to this must be directed to the Customer.
Is there any restrictions I should be aware of?
Yes, Work Norway will not contact you regarding employments for other Customers of Work Norway if you are hired under the employment reached through the Platform. If the employment is ended, or the employment will within short, Work Norway may contact you regarding employments for other Customers with start date after the end of the current employment. Please note that a Customer is not entitled to contact and hire you directly if the initial contact with you was made on the Platform. You are obligated to extend the employment through the Platform.
Will we update the Platform?
We will from time-to-time upgrade and/or change Work Norway. Upgrades and/or changes will regularly be notified to you within the Platform. Please note that Work Norway may have limited availability during such upgrades or changes.
In case of errors or delays, what are your rights?
If you believe the Platform has errors, or the delivery is delayed, you must notify us within reasonable time of the error or delay, and of your claim due to the error or delay. Your rights in this respect are set out in these terms unless you have other rights under mandatory applicable law.
What is Work Norway's liability for errors, delay or breach of contract?
Please note that the Platform is provided “s is”without any warranties. Work Norway do not warrant that the Platform will be available, uninterrupted or error free. To the extent possible under applicable laws, we are not liable for any loss or damages you or any third party may suffer because of your use of the Platform. Our liability is in any event, to the extent possible under applicable laws, limited to the fee paid by you for your use of Work Norway the last twelve months.
What is Work Norway's rights?
If your use of the Platform is in violations of these terms or any applicable laws or regulations, we may suspend your account and use immediately and with no notice. If your violation is limited and stops immediately, you may be re-granted access to the Platform at our discretion within short. To the extent possible under applicable laws, we may be entitled to damages due to your misuse of the Platform.
Will we amend these terms?
We will from time to time amend these terms. When we do so, we will regularly notify you at the Platform’ start page. If we make amendments that are not in your favour, the new terms will not apply until two months after the first notifications of the amendment at the Platform’ start page. If you continue to use the Platform after the amendment, the new terms will be considered accepted by you.
How can you reach us, and we reach you?
You can contact us by [email/in site]. We will usually respond within 1-3 working days. By using the Platform, you accept that Work Norway, and the Customer’ with employments you have applied for, may send you emails, in site notifications, and push message about the Platform, the employments and/or your account.
What about choice of law and disputes?
These terms and your use of Work Norway is governed by Norwegian law.
